Three concerts from the archives of Danish television show Ben in a variety of settings – with a trio, a big band or playing lushly in front of a large string ensemble. The classic 1971 documentary BIG BEN is highlighted by rare intimate moments with Ben, one of the few times he talked openly about his career. This DVD contains a full 2 hours with 20 performances. Webster is accompanied on these programs by some of the most talented side men in jazz: Kenny Drew and Teddy Wilson on piano, Niels Henning Orsted-Pederson on bass, Charlie Shavers on trumpet, and many more. Among the highlights are "Stardust", "In A Mellowtone", "Danny Boy", "Stompy Jones", "Perdido" and his signature piece "Cotton Tail".
