Pan / New Samarkand Records CD-9003
The Russian vocal ensemble Kafedra consists of 5 tenors, 2 baritones and 2 bass vocalists. In 1995 they were awarded the Grand Prix at the International Festival of Church Music in Mogilev, Belorussia. On this CD the ensemble performs Russian-Orthodox chants, Russian folk songs and Tatar folk songs.
Pan Records is an excellent world music label from the Netherlands. We still have a few of their CDs in our warehouse and are selling them on a first come first served basis.
