American Sabor: Latinos & Latinas in U.S. Popular Music Sept. 22 at 1PM

Shannon Dudley, professor of ethnomusicology at the U. of Washington, Seattle and wife, Marisol Berríos-Miranda, are co-authors (along w/Michelle Habell Pallan) of a fabulous new beautifully illustrated book, American Sabor: Latinos & Latinas in U.S. Popular Music (U. of W. Press). They will present a live presentation/signing at 1:00pm on Saturday 9/22. Free to the public.

American Sabor began in 2007 as a museum exhibit at the Experience Music Project in Seattle, for which they were guest curators. It was there for a year, then traveled to other U.S. cities, ending up at the Smithsonian International Gallery in 2011.
