Hey all, I finally am celebrating my new cd “Ready To Rumble”, with a show at the Ivy Room (680 San Pablo Ave in Albany) on Sunday, June 5th from 7-10 pm. The whole band will be there, with bandleader Johnny Harper on electric guitar, the great Bobby Black on pedal steel, Richard Chon, fiddle, Markie Sanders, bass, Rick Alegria, drums, John Burr, keyboards and Allegra Broughton, on vocals. Plus, Marc Silber, folk bluesman extraordinaire will open. New owners Loni and Summer have brought back the Ivy Room to its honkytonkin’ magical self (though more comfortable) so it should be fun. An extra plus, Marc and I will do solo in-store sets at Down Home Music that Sunday (June 5th) at 2:00 p.m. So you all come, we’d love to see you. John McCord
