“By the time Arhoolie’s Chris Strachwitz rolled the tape on ‘em in 1974 [Trio San Antonio was] playing mostly weekends as opposed to the hectic nightly schedule of their youthful yesteryear.  By the sounds of it decades later they never lost their edge.  Zimmerle’s sharp accordion playing is loaed with trills and downward spiraling runs between vocal lines that are reminiscent of great accordionists such as Santiago Jimenez Sr…Additionally one of Zimmerle’s innovations the relaxes vocal duet singing style still glows in soul and remains one of their glorious finishing touches.”
